Meet Peggy...
I do love the occasional shorter bobs on the Sasha Dolls that have been expertly rescued from a haircut disaster, so I thought to create one deliberately with a few enhanced features.
Firstly, l re-rooted Peggy with a stunning mix of blond shades, so the simple style of her bob showcases the beautiful, silky tones.
I then incorporated a full center parting so she can wear her hair up into pigtails and curled the ends gently under, so she has a natural curve and bounce to her hair.
Because she is a little girl, I added a few baby-curl wisps of hair around her front hairline, which also looks super-cute when her hair is taken back off her face.
I kept the length of her hair long enough for a variety of styles, but modernized her a little to be able to wear present-day fashions, although she looks equally as pretty in traditional frocks.
Peggy is a pumpkin cord Sasha Doll from 1973. She has been thoroughly cleaned with just her arm strings tightened for a firm pose and has very few signs of any play wear. Her face paint is still perfect with softly shaded blue eyes and a wash of salmon pink to her lips.
I made Peggy her sporty style dress which is designed from cotton in a pale mushroom shade with a white, crisp collar.
The bodice and hem-line has been finished with pin-tucks and fastens at the back.
